If corrosion should reach the core layer, a band region of special alloy elements will force the corrosion to spread uniformly over the entire surface, rather than allowing the corrosion to continue down through the material thickness, causing pitting. An extra water-side layer is made up of a high-percentage zinc alloy which also acts as a barrier, providing enhanced corrosion protection and longer product life.

LET ME TELL YA'LL SOMETHING I SHOP ON AMAZON CONSTANTLY NOW BUT I NEVER PURCHASED A VEHICLE PART FROM HERE JUST BECAUSE IF THEY GET IT WRONG THAN IM WITHOUT MY HEATER OR ANY THING ELSE NOT WORKING FOR AWHILE AND HAVE TO WAIT TO GET THE CORRECT PART ESPECIALLY IN TOWN SEEMS LIKE 8 OUT OF 10 TIMES THEY GET THE PART WRONG. BUT I SAID HEY LET ME TAKE A CHANCE AND SURE ENOUGH GOT IT IN 2 DAYS AND INSTALLED IT THE NEXT DAY . THIS HEATER CORE I ORDERED FOR MY CHEVY S-10 LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE STOCK CORE RIGHT DOWN TO THE SAME COLOR! I AM HAPPY AND THE HEATER DOESNT LEAK AND BLOWS GOOD HOT AIR A MUST FOR LEAVN IN ALASKA LOL THANK U! O AND IT WAS CHEAP.. And they packaged it up very well, double boxed with the bubbles inside
