Performance directly proportional to noise.
The design of this fluid-dynamic fan clutch is quite nice. The manufacturer opted to include mounting hardware which was also a nice touch. As far as performance is concerned, I might complain that this clutch is a bit stiff. The is quite a bit of turbulent air noise emanating from my engine compartment every time I start my car, regardless of temperature. The tuning of the viscous fluid must be narrow (temperature range where this clutch starts to 'relax' a bit). That said, my engine cooling system is now far more capable of extracting heat (including new radiator and thermostat). This is a good buy for those experiencing overheating problems who also do not mind a little extra noise.
