Appears to be good quality, but not as pictured.
Every photo of this water pump shows a cast iron impeller, and a fan clutch with a thermostatic coil in the center of it. It also shows both water pump gaskets, the round one for the pump itself, and the elongated one for the pump housing. The pump I received appears to be of quite good quality and is made in Japan. However, it has a stamped steel impeller and an ordinary non-thermostatic fan clutch. It also included only the one round gasket. The price is very good for a brand new (not remanufactured) water pump. But the pictures really should be more representative of the product. In particular, I was hoping for the cast iron impeller because my experience over the years with this car is that the stamped steel impellers do not seem to move coolant as effectively. They're quite common in the aftermarket though, so I guess they must meet some minimum standard of performance.
